Tasks: E.Value will develop a social-economic model, optimise different technologies and solutions for retrofitting, measure building energy use before retrofitting, retrofit technologies and solutions into a flat, monitor and demonstrate the performance of the flat in a southern European climate, survey occupants’ acceptance and analyse socio-economic benefits of retrofitting the flat.
Key personnel and relevant experience:
Professor Júlia Seixas is a Professor at the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at New University of Lisbon and coordinates a research group on Environmental engineering, with a focus on energy-environment modelling. She has detailed knowledge in the carbon economy field, both in the policy and in the market fields and coordinated projects on corporate climate change, environmental public policies assessment and climate change public initiatives and has been the coordinator of the technical studies supporting the National Climate Change Programme and the National Programme on Emissions Ceilings. She has more than 50 publications in refereed journals and conferences.
Dr Sandra Martinho has 20 years of experience in environmental economics. Over the last years, Sandra has mostly been working on sustainability, low carbon and energy, namely in the fields of corporate advisory, strategic planning and management, new market business solutions, and cost-benefit analysis. Sandra has a BSc. in Economy and a MSc. in Land Management and Environmental Planning..
Mr José Eduardo Barroso.He has experience in the areas of air quality, environmental monitoring, environmental impact assessment, energy and climate change. He has developed research for major Portuguese players on the assessment of economic incentives to promote power renewable (feed-in tariffs) and combined heat and power technologies (e.g. solar-powered combined heat power system).
